It wasn't a shot at Daiwa it was a harmless remark about how pretty Lee's reels are.

So serious sometimes

Yes they are pretty pretty darn good workhorses actually.

The dark 2500r has had a hard life but still is super smooth.

I actually can't believe the pics actually look good considering its from the camera phone.

Yeah mate they look brand spanking new still. No matter what brand when you look back at the reels available 8-10 yrs ago the avergae reel of today is miles better.

They have their scratches and knocks on some of them, but when you use the flash it tends to hide those little cosmetic blemishes, plus I don't let the reels bang and bump and rub each other in the locker or on the deck.

I also have to take a few pics of the new red edition to the family and post it up. Just got to find the time :-)

Cheers

Hi guys.

Just thought I would share the new Duffrod addition to the stable.

Its a bit of a specialised rod that was constructed to chase big big fish on the flats and creeks from Noosa, Hervey and beyond.

Its also quite at home for throwing spinnerbaits and also targeting snapper. Funnily enough its equally at home as being a stump puller for bream.

So here it is.

Its an X-Series 821 3-6kg

Cheers

Looking at getting a baitcast rod for Dam Bass and yellas.

I want it to be good with spinnerbaits and jackalls. I will be putting one of the new Daiwa reels on it.

I dont like a soft tip, something like the loomis CBR841 would be perfect.

I know I probably should have just PM beats but thought I will put it out there

Cheers
Chris

Hey Bobby,
The x-843sb was designed to through spinnerbaits from 3/8 to 3/4oz but more at home throwing 1/2 and 5/8. it also throws the hell out of tn 60's. These are fletty's favorites.
If your after a rod similar to a cbr841 then the cbs841 is the rod in the stable. based on the above but with a touch mor power.
give me a yell and we'll go through them.
cheers

Thanks Steve,

Sounds good. I only need one really, I dont bass fish enough to justify $1200.00 now, sure my current rods will take the rest of the load. As I said in my email to you today I will be looking at a flats and another 3-5kg bass stix soon.

Cheers
Chris
